You are warmly invited to attend our upcoming hybrid departmental seminar—held both onsite and online—under the overarching theme: "Promoting Multi-disciplinary Research in History and Archaeology."

We are pleased to host Dr. Ngala Chome (Ghent University) and Dr. George Gona (University of Nairobi), who will jointly present a paper titled:
“Emancipation in Takaungu, Kenya: Protest and Tradition in an African Post-Slavery Community, 1907–1990.” Please, see the e-flyer attached herewith. 

The session will be chaired by Mr. Akoko Akech, Independent Researcher and PhD candidate at Makerere University, Uganda, who will serve as the discussant.
