PhD Position Announcement

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce a 3-year PhD position linked to the project "Localizing Diaspora Nationalism in the Era of the Radical 'Global Right'," which examines Hindu nationalism within the context of South Africa. This exciting opportunity is a collaboration between Prof. Somdeep Sen (Department of Social Sciences and Business, Roskilde University) and Prof. Alf Gunvald Nilsen (Department of Sociology, University of Pretoria). The selected PhD candidate will be based at Roskilde University and will be jointly supervised by both professors.

Additionally, the candidate will maintain an affiliation with the Centre for Asian Studies in Africa at the University of Pretoria and is expected to conduct extensive ethnographic fieldwork in South Africa.
