한국국제교류재단(KF)의 의회 분야 유력인사 그룹초청 사업으로 방한한 나이지리아 연방하원의원 Kayode Akiolu는 2023년 4월 26일 아시아연구소 아시아-아프리카센터(센터장 김태균)를 방문했다. 아시아-아프리카센터의 김태균 센터장, 조준화 선임연구원이 참석하였으며, 경험 공유와 향후 교류 및 협력 방안에 대하여 논의하는 시간을 가졌다.
Kayode Akiolu 하원의원은 한국의 민주주의와 경제 발전 경험에 관하여 관심을 표했으며, 나이지리아의 정치 및 투표 현황, 비아프라, 보코하람에 대하여 의견을 공유하였다. 김태균 센터장과 Kayode Akiolu 하원의원은 한국의 경험 공유를 위한 교육의 중요성에 대한 의견을 교환하며 E-school 프로그램 소개 등 등 실질적인 협력 방안을 모색하였다.
Kayode Akiolu, House of Representative Member Lagos Island Federal Constituency, visited the Asia-Africa Center (Director Kim Taekyoon) of the Asia Center on 26 April as part of the Korea Foundation’s(KF) project to invite influential figures in the parliamentary field. Kim Taekyoon(Director of the Asia-Africa Center) and Cho Joonhwa(Research Fellow) attended the meeting and had time to share their experiences and discuss future exchanges and cooperation.
Kayode Akiolu expressed interest in Korea’s experience in democracy and economic development and exchanged opinions on Nigeria’s political and electoral status, Biafra and Boko Haram. Director Kim Taekyoon and Kayode Akiolu exchanged views on the importance of education in sharing Korea’s experience and sought practical cooperation measures such as the introduction of e-school programs.
